LTE conformance test program launches

UK-based fables semiconductor firm Icera is working together with German test and measurement firm Rohde & Schwarz on an LTE protocol conformance test program designed to enable the wireless industry to certify and deploy LTE technology successfully and more quickly.

The Global Certification Forum (GCF) is currently working towards introducing LTE certification by the end of 2010m which will coincide with an expected wave of LTE service and device launches.
