Informa Telecoms & Media’s LTE World Series conferences are testament to that, with a total of ten global and regional events taking place in 2013. The LTE Awards 2013, collocated with the LTE World Summit, are taking place on the 25 June, at the exclusive, elegant De Duif in Amsterdam. Here, the best innovations of the year will be recognised and celebrated with a glamorous gala dinner, and the category winners will be set to gain global recognition in the industry for their achievements. .
This year there are a total of 65 nominations across 12 categories ensuring the awards will be hotly contested and judging difficult for the 10 judges from across the operator community.

Neil Coleman, director of global marketing for Actix revealed that winning an award last year helped cement Actix’s leadership in the network acceptance market. This year he said the “This nomination of Actix’s LTE Geo-located Customer Experience solution represents fantastic recognition of our continuing success in helping ensure the quality and viability of LTE networks.”
He claimed the “Actix Customer Experience Geo-location for LTE”, would identify and help resolve customer experience issues quickly and accurately speedily identify where LTE will generate largest ROI, would reduce LTE performance related troubleshooting time by 80 per cent and cut dropped calls in key locations by 25 per cent.
Guy Lecurieux Lafayette of Ercom, described its Mopipass product as a ‘game changer’, delivering the means to optimise an LTE network from a lab and that they deserve the award as the product can drastically reduce costs for MNOs. He hailed the nomination for Ercom as, “official recognition from independent and respectable LTE professionals”.
David Neumann, vice president and general manager of RF solutions for PCTEL described its ‘RAN Test Mobile Suite’ as providing “accurate, high-performance measurements that can identify and resolve throughput-robbing interference issues.”
“Being nominated by industry peers increases awareness for our products in the wireless industry [and] also reaffirms our philosophy that products focused on solving real issues are recognised by customers and the industry alike,” he said.
Astellia described its ‘Nova 4G’ solution as a real-time monitoring solution for 4G networks that would improves MNO business performance by providing actionable intelligence, enabling operators to overcome challenges related to network performance, handset behavior and subscriber usage. Thierry Jacq, LTE business marketing manager for Astellia said it was delighted at the nomination and that he sees the nomination as, “a seal of quality and innovation, which will allow us to stand out from the crowd, send a positive message to our existing customers and attract new business.”
