Join us on 27th April for at a 2-hour dedicated event. Hear from expert speakers on F5G evolution streamed live from Shenzhen, China.

Fibre and fibre-based optical networks are the key technical enablers of our society’s twin transitions (green and digital), providing sustainable and cost-effective communication with high bandwidth, stability, reliability, and improved latency. At the beginning of 2020, ETSI ISG (Industry Specification Group) has defined the F5G, the fifth generation of the fixed network, which address three main features: a full-fibre connection (FFC), an enhanced fixed broadband (eFBB), and a guaranteed reliable experience (GRE). This definition of F5G has promoted the development of the optical industry into the fast lane. At present, F5G has served all walks of life and entered various production fields, empowering the digital transformation of operators. In the past two years, 100 million (fibre-to-the-home) FTTH users have been added worldwide, and the number of gigabit broadband users has exceeded 60 million. The fibre-based optical network has greatly improved the experience of home broadband services. For enterprises, F5G has been extended to more than 10 industries such as education, medical care, and finance. More than 15,000 enterprises around the world have deployed fibre-based optical network innovation, and more than 100 cases of fibre-based optical network innovation have been implemented in different industrial scenarios such as coal mine safety production, port ultra-remote control, and traffic all-optical intersections, greatly releasing the productivity of traditional industries both in office and industrial settings.

With the accelerated arrival of an intelligent world where everything is connected, consumers’ continuous pursuit of the ultimate service experience, the continuous deepening of industry digitization, and the increasing diversity of industrial interconnection, new challenges have presented themselves to fixed networks. F5G will evolve to open new opportunities in various scenarios to expand the reach of fibre to everything, everywhere (FTTE), and to benefit all industry verticals. Therefore, with the further extension of FTTE, what new experiences will F5G Evolution bring to family scenarios? How will F5G Evolution accelerate the digital transformation of enterprises? And what kind of value will F5G Evolution bring to achieve the sustainable development of society?

With these new scenarios and new challenges in mind, Informa Tech is hosting the F5G Evolution Summit, which will cover F5G evolution, promoting industrial prosperity, and provide a stage for key insights sharing. The F5G Summit will be live streamed on 27th April 2022 at 9:00 GMT+1.
