E-readers becoming feature rich

The e-reader market is getting increasingly crowded, with two new additions in the last week from Sagem Wireless and Barnes & Noble.

Orange offers tablets to subscribers

Orange is targeting the home market with the launch in June of a new touchscreen tablet called the Tabbee. The Wifi-only device offers quick access to multimedia or internet content held on either a home’s set-top box or its PC.

Sagem adds Gigaset WIMAX

Sagem Communications, a French phone-maker and provider of broadband products, has entered into an agreement to acquire the broadband and WiMAX business of Gigaset Communications, a subsidiary of Arques Industries and Siemens.

Handset giant Motorola is reported to be interested in buying French phone and fax manufacturer, Sagem. A report in Le Figaro says an executive from Moto has confirmed its interest in the French company.
