ZTE credits 2014 94% profit rise to 4G equipment, smartphone sales

ZTE has reported its full year 2014 results showing a 94% increase in net profits, which the Chinese vendor attributed to 4G network equipment and smartphone sales. The kit maker claimed to be the world’s fastest growing provider of 4G solutions in 2014, and said it is using its strong position in the market to take the lead in 5G technology research.

Telecom Italia reports first profit since 2010

Telecom Italia has posted its 2014 full year results showing the telco achieved profits for the first time in three years. This follows the operator’s recently announced three-year strategic plan, under which it plans to invest some €14.5 billion to modernise its network infrastructure.

Ericsson reports flat 2014 revenues

Ericsson has reported its last quarter and full year results for 2014, revealing flat annual revenues across all of its business segments, and lower than expected Q4 sales. The Swedish equipment vendor said revenue growth was stalled by lagging North America sales.
