With just over a fortnight to go before Australia’s next parliamentary election, the head of Aussie telco Vocus has made his feelings clear on the country’s state-owned broadband network.
New Zealand’s competition body has given the go-ahead for a merger between 2degrees and Vocus, creating a stronger third player in the country’s telecoms market.
It looks like Aussie fibreco Vocus will finally be bought by a couple of investment funds, following its board’s approval of the latest offer.
Vocus has confirmed that it has received another takeover offer, its fifth in less than four years, and its value has apparently increased in that time.
