O2 extends its reach

UK MNO O2 has extended its My Europe roaming scheme to cover 31 countries with the launch of My Europe Extra. The service abolishes charges for incoming calls regardless of which network the call is received on. Making calls within Europe and back to the UK are charged at a flat rate of 25p per minute (a 70 per cent discount over standard rates).

Aimed at frequent travellers, My Europe Extra provides business customers a 12-month subscription option of £5 per month. However, any customer can take advantage of the service on a month-by-month basis for £10 per month.

My Europe Extra is one of three services under O2 UK’s My Europe scheme, which was launched in July 2006. Each of the My Europe services is aimed at different types of customers who travel to Europe providing significant savings over standard call rates.

Our ‘My Europe’ proposition offers customers significant savings on roaming calls within Europe and a simple pricing structure that makes it easy to work out call costs so there are no surprises when the bill arrives.”
